In each of the 3D project, the design can be divided into 3 main techniques:
1. Procedural design (automatic and semi-automatic)
2. Manual Design
3. From real data from three-dimensional scanning (three-dimensional scanning)
In turn these techniques can be divided into:
* Solid Design: the object is considered to consist of a full volume.
* Volumetric Design: determines entities generating an implicit surface.
* Surface design: the object consists of its external surfaces.
